Sales....sales....sales
Yesterday, I was out and about shopping for my awesome Actors on "Community" and the sales were crazy!!!! You can getsome great deals at "Barneys,Bloomingdales and pretty much all department stores. all the winter clothes are marked down!!!! With the bad economy the stores have to discount everything!!!!!

PARIS
I can't wait to blog from Paris over the Holiday's! Last year when I was in Italy I saw lot's of "grown up" clothes that were affordable!!! While I am in "paris" for X mas I know I will see lot's of great "grown up " clothes!
To add to my earlier shoe post...."ALDO" has great fashion shoes..ton's of Boot's for excellent prices! This is the time to get some great boots!! they are on sale!!!
All the winter clothes are on sale this time of year as the stores are making room for "Cruise,Spring"
A great way to buy "cashmere" on sale!..... the department stores always have their "private label" brands i..e... Macy's (charter club) Bloomingdales (aqua) Super big cashmere collection! The private label store brands are usually 40 to 50 percent cheaper than the name brands like "Vince" and "theory" REgardless of what you pay!!! all the cashmere comes from the same mills!! and are made abroad! Do not pay for the "name"!!!!! Check out the gap for sporty sweaters that are super affordable and always on Sale! Never pay full price at the gap! they have crazy good sales!!!!There has been one upside to the bad economy!!!..... there are always!!! great sales going on!!!!

Older feet
Good morning, Please excuse my run on sentences and poor grammar! I will be writing on the fly as my day job (Costume Designer on a show called "Community" on NBC and "It's always sunny philadelphia" FX
take up most of my time! that is my disclaimer...... That being said, as I was thinking about what to wear today my mind went directly to SHOES! Up until my early 40's I was able to plan outfits around cute shoes...high heels..pointy boots... you get the Picture. The last seven years my feet decided they were done with High Heels. This was so heartbreaking..Years of living in NYC and Los Angeles wearing high heels! I was forced into flat shoes..rubber soles and the like! Ladies, I was not willing to start wearing orthopedic shoes! It is possible to switch to flats and look stylish. I have always been a lover of Boots!!!! There are so many cute boots out there with low/no heels and rubber soles. They do not have to cost a fortune. 9 west, Steve madden have some great boots that are very affordable!!! DSW always has a great selection of Boots! Last year I got a pair of black suede over the knee at DSW for $100. MY very stylish Cousin had a great pair of brown over the knee boots from forever 21 on the other night! They were so cute and under $100. Last year I bought boots in Italy, that had Rubber soles!!! I realized that a Rubber sole really protected my aching feet!! This Winter I dug out all my old boots and had Rubber soles put on and the boots are like new!!! and sore feet friendly. For the days that I am literally pounding the pavement!! I have amassed a Collection of stylish Sneakers!!! I am amazed at the cute outfits I can put together wearing Colorful sneakers!!! L.A. is very sporty, so it works here. The Costumers in my department also turned me on to the miracle of "insoles" A pair of jell insoles can truly make all the difference!!! It is the secret to many of the cute shoes actors stand in all day on a set!!! Insoles are under $30! I now have a closet of stylish shoes that I can actually work in all day!!!

Jeans
First tip... JEANS... our daily uniform! Jeans do not have to break the bank! For smaller gals the "Levi" store has every style!!! all under $100.00. If you have a more "American" figure..The gap has great Jeans, also under $100.00!

my name is Sabrina Rosen. I am a Costume designer for T.V. and worked in Fashion before this . I am 51 yrs old and I want to share with all the ladies over 40.... fashion ideas that are age appropriate and affordable. I spend so much time in the stores shopping for work, so I will also post pictures and stores that have the clothes I blog about.
I surf all the fashion sites and blogs and they are all geared toward very young Women!!!!! It is entirely possible to dress hip and cool without breaking the bank and looking like you stole clothes from your 13 year old daughter!!!!!
